There are lots of reasons for setting up temporary offices. Perhaps you have contract employees that come and go, or perhaps you have a special contract coming up and you will be expanding your workforce. It is also possible that you need to set up a workspace in another location, like a showroom. Whatever your reasons, there are several products that you can use for this purpose that are both relatively low cost and very versatile, no matter what your needs.
One of the products you will find most useful when you are setting up temporary offices will be a folding partition or modular screen. Designed to be ultimately portable, these screens are made of panels that fold onto one another, accordion style. When you decide to set them up, you simply have to pull them apart, which can be done by one person, and set them into the position you desire, whether you will be using them to completely enclose the space, or just by perhaps enclosing three walls, leaving the fourth either open, or using a perimeter wall or window for the fourth wall. There is usually a small amount of hardware that you can use to permanently fix the screens into the desired position, and they also come with casters, so that they can easily be wheeled about.
Another product that you may find useful for temporary offices would be modular partitions or room dividers. These come in different widths and heights, which makes them useful for defining a more private work space if you choose a taller height. There are also many accessory products such as shelves and ledges available to affix in your temporary space. These types of dividers are commonly used to divide up large spaces into individual working areas, and you can use anywhere from one to four panels to outline your space. One great advantage of these room dividers is that they also work as sound baffles which can be a great advantage in a large room which is divided up into several work areas.
One of the most useful tools to use when setting up temporary offices would be a floor plan. Using rough to scale measurements, given the amount of space allotted to each person, you will easily be able to calculate your needs in panels. These panels can also be linked together, if you need for example to create a line of panels to define something like a hallway, or when you want to link two panels together in a corner shape. They also come with small but very useful hardware to firmly link them into position and they are made to be quite stable.
Most people set up temporary offices with the idea that they will, in the near future, no longer be needed. This being the case, both the folding room dividers and the modular panels are designed to be easily moved around and stored if necessary. You may however find them very useful for other purposes, such as defining a waiting area for visitors.
