Setting up training rooms these days is relatively easy with the availability of modular products that seem to be created just for this purpose. Your needs will however, be partly determined by the space that you have to work with, as well as the number of anticipated students, and your overall plan for training. For example, will all your training be done as a group, in one common area? Or will you need individual workspaces for your students, in place of, or in addition to a common group area?
When you are setting up temporary training rooms, the more time you can put into the front end planning stage, the easier it will be for you to anticipate your needs and help alleviate any unforeseen problems before they happen. The modular products and temporary partitions that you can use however, will allow for some adjustment if unanticipated needs arise. This can prove to be helpful if the number of your students changes on a regular basis and you need to accommodate more people within the same space.
If you are setting up a common work area in your training rooms this is not as much of an issue, as you will need mostly either one large conference-type table or individual tables or desks for all of your students. With this scenario, you can also make some individual work areas available around the perimeter of your room using modular room dividers. These dividers come in different heights and widths so there are many options that could fit this need, if you find them necessary.
If on the other hand there is no common space requirement in your training rooms, then you will need to map out your space according to the number of students that you anticipate. This is best done beforehand on a floor plan which is done roughly to scale of your training rooms. By allotting the required space for each individual work area or desk and traffic areas, you will be able to quickly see just how many dividers you will need. With this scenario you will also be able to use the perimeter walls and windows of your space as defining areas for some workstations. One of the great advantages of these room dividers is that they also serve to block noise, which can be extremely helpful in a training room.
You will find that using temporary dividers for training rooms is a great way to create some defining space within a larger area. You can also create a whole room within a room by using the temporary or folding room dividers that are designed for this very purpose. They also have casters on them so they are easily moved about and they can be unfolded to completely enclose your training area if needed. The corners would then be fixed into place using minimal hardware, so that when your needs change and you no longer need the temporary rooms, they can easily be dismantled and tucked away in a storage room until they are needed again.
